    Description

    Judge Healthcare is seeking a Laboratory Technician for an opening in Knoxville, TN with one of our biggest clients

    Location: Fully onsite - MUST be local to Knoxville, TN.

    This is a 6+ month contract to start with potential for conversion.

    Hours: 2pm-10:30pm OR 10pm-6:30am are available

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform a variety of laboratory tests throughout the plasma processing pipeline, using both manual and automated methods.
    • Analyze blood samples from donors to ensure they meet eligibility criteria for plasma donation.
    • This may involve testing for infectious diseases, blood type, and other factors.
    • Conduct tests on materials used in plasma processing to confirm sterility, purity, and compatibility.
    • Perform quality control testing on plasma throughout different stages of manufacturing and distribution.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
    • Troubleshoot issues with laboratory procedures and analyze test results to identify any abnormalities.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing procedures and results.
    • Adhere to strict safety protocols and aseptic techniques in a laboratory setting.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Associates degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution
    • One year of laboratory experience required
