    Job Summary:

    The Department of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for the Kerr Professor of Mathematics. An endowed professorship, the Kerr Chair is designed to bring an outstanding researcher to Oklahoma State, one who has proven themselves to be an eminent and central figure in their area of research, or is clearly on a trajectory to do so. The holder of the Kerr Chair should establish the OSU Mathematics Department as a hub of research in their area, attracting exceptional graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty to OSU, and building and maintaining an ambitious and productive research group. Candidates are expected to support the learning needs of students from all backgrounds and to contribute to the Department's missions in teaching and outreach. The Department is committed to engaging all communities in the academy.

    Position Qualifications:


    The ideal candidate should have an exceptional publication record in top
    mathematical research journals and a record of invited addresses to major research conferences, as well as a history of productive graduate advising. They should also have a record of demonstrated success in obtaining external funding from major organizations such as The National Science Foundation.

    All applicants must have a PhD in Mathematics or a closely-related field, and must currently hold at least the rank of associate professor with tenure (or equivalent).
