    Overview

    Garmin International seeks ERP Solutions Architect 1 (multiple positions; Olathe, KS):

    Essential Functions

    • Work with Garmin associates and IT Staff to provide application design guidance, documentation, training, and quality control
    • Work with IT Partners, Application Analysts, Developers, and business customers to research, analyze and design, ERP application customizations, extensions, and integrations to meet business needs
    • Mentor Application Analysts, Application Developers, or other associates related to ERP functionality, best-practice ERP design, and testing
    • Participate in design and change review processes.
    • Serves as a business wide leader in project execution and design of new or existing systems and/or applications
    • Test custom applications and Oracle patches
    • Gathers and documents complex requirements for business needs and independently determines complex solution designs across multiple functional/systems/module areas
    • Translates, negotiates and communicates architectural and development concepts across development teams
    • Develops project documentation including level of effort, detailed project plans, architecture designs, detailed implementation plans, deployment plans, project test plans and operational training materials
    • Completes complex troubleshooting and is able to determine appropriate course of action to deliver actionable results
    • Demonstrates broad understanding of Garmin's business model including Engineering, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing
    • Develops reliable solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
    • Evaluates new technologies, features and functions as directed by IT management
    • Exemplifies Garmin's Mission Statement and Quality Policy and proactively works to improve Garmin's image and culture
    • Associates are permitted to work from home, within commuting distance of office, up to two days per week provided that their job duties can be performed effectively while working from home, and if they have appropriate approval from their manager.
    • Full-time remote work is not available.

    Basic Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field plus 9 years of experience in the Oracle E-Business Suite Application environment and demonstrable experience in:

    • Oracle ERP and EBS, PL/SQL, JIRA, and ALM
    • Three (3) or more of the following Oracle EBS modules:
      General Ledger;
      Order Management;
      Accounts Receivable;
      Accounts Payable; or Procurement
    • Serving as a leader for technical business processes
    • Testing Oracle applications and patches
