    The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Metropolitan Planning Organization Executive Director. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants and will remain open until filled.

    + Nature of Work

    This position will plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of the MPO including urban and transportation planning; to coordinate assigned activities with other local and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the MPO Executive Board. This position receives general administrative direction from the MPO Chair and Executive Policy Board.

    + Education, Experience, Other Requirements
    • Possession of a Bachelor degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Public Administration or a related field
    • Minimum of 7 years of increasingly responsible urban and/or transportation planning experience, including 3 years of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
    + Compensation and Benefits
    • The assigned salary range for the position of MPO Director is $100,000-$125,000 annually.
    • This is a full time, Exempt position not eligible for overtime.
