Job Summary
We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 8-10 years of experience, specializing in Oracle Database Security Administration and Oracle Database Administration. This role is pivotal in managing and analyzing geospatial data to drive our business strategies and decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to enhance data security, ensure database integrity, and contribute significantly to our geospatial projects.

Experienced with PostgreSQL Installation & Configuration.
Should have experience on Upgrade and patches.
Experience on migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL and onprem to cloud.
Database user roles and Security related permissions.
PostgreSQL Index Management.
Good knowledge of ITIL processes.
PostgreSQL Partitioning and System Catalogs.
Backup, Recovery and PITR.
DR Replication monitoring and configuring streaming replication.
Database Performance tuning. Should be proficient in tuning the shared_memory, work_mem, maintenance_work_mem areas, Buffer Cache, Rollback Segments, Redo/Undo Mechanisms.
OS: Linux and any cloud Knowledge.
Tools: PGAdmin4, PGPool, PEM, BART, BARMAN, ORA2PG, and all pg backup and restore utilities.
High Availability: Streaming replication, WAL replication and failover of replication. Knowledge on Patroni cluster or any 3node cluster with DR setup.

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of geospatial databases using Oracle technologies.
Ensure the security and integrity of geospatial databases by implementing robust Oracle Database Security measures.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate geospatial data into business processes.
Analyze and interpret geospatial data to provide insights and recommendations for business strategies.
Manage the administration of Oracle databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain documentation for database designs, configurations, and procedures.
Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in geospatial analysis and Oracle database management.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior analysts and team members.
Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance system efficiency.
Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
Participate in project planning and review meetings to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Oracle Database Security Administration and Oracle Database Administration is mandatory.
Strong understanding of geospatial concepts and technologies.
Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and database optimization techniques.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with GIS software and tools is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, or related field is preferred.
