Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. This role is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on established clinical protocols and physician/provider orders.This role requires strong knowledge of human growth and development to provide age-appropriate care and education. The RN must also be able to administer prescribed medications monitor for side effects document administration in accordance with standards of practice assist physicians during procedures within the scope of documented competency and skill level collaborate with healthcare teams to develop implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments needs respond to medical emergencies participate in life-saving interventions such as CPR code team activities as appropriate advocate for patients rights needs ensure their voices are heard respected in care planning delivery provide patient family education medical conditions treatment plans post-discharge care ensuring understanding adherence instructions implement adhere infection control protocols prevent spread health-care associated infections operate medical equipment e.g IV pumps monitors ventilators needed patient safety promote by adhering National Patient Safety Goals maintaining clean safe environment patients staff engage professional development maintain clinical competency current nursing standards regulations participate performance improvement initiatives including data collection process development enhance patient outcomes delivery perform other duties assigned maintain regular reliable attendance comply policies standards.
