    Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The Plant Manager must develop and implement methods of manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve the quality of the product.
    • Must drive effective utilization of plant resources including people and equipment.
    • Must improve production, quality, safety, and labor utilization throughout the facility.
    • Partner with functional departments in the implementation of all continuous improvement activities.
    • Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class manufacturing processes to achieve organizational goals.
    • The Plant Manager must direct and manage maintenance of material replenishment methods, quality standards, and performance metrics.
    • Plan, direct, and coordinate all manufacturing operations of production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments.
    • Must ensure that all production line schedules are in accordance with plant capabilities, customer requirements, economic performance, and planning.
    • The Plant Manager is responsible for budgeting and managing manufacturing cost structures by developing and maintaining operational expenses within budget allowance and looks for cost-reduction opportunities.
    • Document protocols and ensure that all operations records are properly maintained and reviewed.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • The Plant Manager must hold a bachelor's degree in operations management, business, engineering, or related field.
    • Must hold a minimum of 5+ years of plant management experience from the food and beverage manufacturing/ production industry.
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience. Certification is a plus.
    • Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Must be proficient in computers.
