- Provides on the floor manufacturing support to operations and quality team with 24 hour coverage to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Audit, evaluate, monitor, track, and report supplier non-conformances.
- Monitors, improve, and validates quality processes in packaging.
- Determination of investigation strategies as needed with internal and external resources along with corrective action plans or root cause analyses.
- Analyzes data to identify any trends and provides information to department personnel.
- Performs accurate and timely data entry.
- Initiates, manages, and investigates deviations with supporting data and root cause analysis.
- Support disposition activities of finished goods.
- Serves as a QA subject matter expert for established quality standards and procedures, sanitation, and technical support to optimize existing equipment/processes
- Collaborates to qualify new vendors and trials.
- Quality management in packaging material – investigation, reclamation, continuous improvement
- Facilitates quality improvement and problem solving.
- Maintains packaging quality compliance.
- Audit processes in packaging.
- Conducts packaging quality training.
- Provides production management regular feedback on operator compliance and quality checks.
- Responsible for complying with food safety and food security and communicating and enforcing Quality, GMP's, HAACP, Allergen, as well as other regulations as required.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.
- Must be 18 years old
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college in microbiology, medical technology, a laboratory science, a biological science, or chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Must be able to handle a number of assignments and responsibilities while managing interruptions and changing priorities (multi-tasking)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Effective analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and effectively use the Internet
- Highly motivated, self-directed, worker that is able to work autonomously in a fast paced an often loud food production environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds

Job Summary
This position functions within a team of laboratory specialists performing routine/non-routine analytical, microbiological, and sensory testing on product, raw materials and process equipment/lines.
