Job Details
- Enter Prescription Information
- Contact prescribers to clarify orders
- Determine accurate medication quantities
- Select proper medication strength and vial size to reduce waste
- Select and dispense accurate medications
- Correctly label medications
- Handle hazardous and non-hazardous oral, topical, and parenteral medications
- Prepare medications for delivery
- Organize and maintain medication and supply inventories
- Perform inventory control duties, including ordering, receiving, stocking, exchanging, and returning medications and supplies
- Ensure medications are appropriately stored
- Resolve insurance issues
- Assist with Prior Authorizations
- Aid patients with financial assistance programs
- Responsible for appropriate EMR documentation and communication with staff
- Follow Federal, State, and local laws and regulations
