    Job Description


    The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing a variety of advertising and marketing projects with the intent to improve the quality of work, meet project timelines and budgets, and follow project scope and requirements throughout the life cycle of the project.

    The PM is responsible for numerous projects that can vary in nature from print work, such as POS and packaging to digital work like digital banner ads, social media and websites to large-scale event production.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Receive and review agency job openers and job change orders for accuracy
    Obtain or write project documents, e.g., scope requirements, creative brief, estimates and schedule
    Set up and lead discovery, kickoff and internal review meetings
    Assign project tasks to available resources based on skill set and workload
    Set deadlines for task turnaround and billable hours
    Follow assigned projects closely while clearly communicating risks and setting expectations for project stakeholders
    Review project requests and resulting work for accuracy and adherence with scope and requirements, etc.
    Route job jackets and other documentation to obtain all necessary internal approvals and signatures
    Ensure QA procedures are stringently followed
    Enter job status updates, track tasks, pull and send daily status reports in trafficking software
    Build and update project schedules by utilizing PM software, dependencies, predecessors, durations, etc.
    Route jobs as assigned from beginning to end

    Secondary Responsibilities

    Help troubleshoot process and software issues as needed
    Help with other tasks as assigned
    Filing and job-specific administrative tasks

    Requirements


    Requirements:
    A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant, equivalent certifications or experience. Experience working in an agency is a must.
    5 years of experience in marketing and/or advertising project management role
    Great time-management and multi-tasking skills; some extended hours may be required
    Strong interpersonal skills illustrating the ability to work with many different personality types
    Ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
    Ability to maintain a cool head in stressful situations
    Experience reviewing detailed information for strategic impact as well as accuracy, i.e., proof reading
    Experience managing both print and digital projects is required

    Functional Skills

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
    Project management software experience is required
    Familiarity with waterfall and agile methodologies
    Basic understanding of design file types and setup needs
    Basic understanding of web design and development processes
