    Core Responsibilities

    Leads Commercial Technology Sales Specialists.

    Provides leadership, direction as well as performs all related HR management activities to include coaching and development, performance management, recruiting/hiring, and training.

    Develops account management standards and delegates activities as appropriate.
    Collaborates with the Technology Implementation team to assist in coordinating implementation plans and customer onboarding activities.

    Serves as a liaison between the commercial technology sales team and Owens & Minor's legal team to maintain accurate contract records and proactively alert the sales team to any relevant information.

    Collaborates with customers, sales teams and technology product owners to assess educational needs and develop content for internal and external use.

    Partners with sales teams to provide sales support and assist with creation of sales proposals.
    Provides Sales team training on new and existing technology from the Platform team.

    Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and existing customers and others in a position to understand service requirements.

    Facilitates software demonstrations for technical, non-technical, and Executive audiences.

    Develops and maintains a demonstration environment where new and existing technologies can be showcased to customers and used as a learning tool for sales teammates.

    Showcases Owens & Minor Services at Industry trade shows and conferences.
    Creates business review templates and leads (or delegates) periodic business reviews with customers.
    Coaches the team of commercial technology sales specialists on all required duties.
    Liaises between O&M collections/AR teammates and customer AP teams to ensure accurate invoicing for services and compliant payment.

    Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

    Performs additional duties as directed.

    Qualifying Experience

    Bachelor's Degree in related field (Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, etc.)
    7 or more years of relevant experience (technical customer service/engineering, account management, Business-to-Business sales, supply chain management, etc.)
    Healthcare industry experience preferred
    Ability to establish trust and rapport with Sales and Development teammates
    Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
    General knowledge of distribution industry
    Ability to develop an understanding of hospitals and how large hospital systems operate
    General knowledge of salesmanship
    Ability to learn consultative selling techniques
    Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook)
    Deep knowledge of SaaS platforms and general knowledge of cloud technologies
    Effective verbal and written communication skills showing confidence, tact and a persuasive manner
    Ability to demonstrate effective problem resolution skills including the anticipation of customer needs and matching them with appropriate Owens & Minor products and services
    Ability to work independently with limited supervision while handling multiple tasks simultaneously under pressured deadlines
    Good business sense and the ability to monitor, analyze and interpret financial performance to goals
