    Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Practitioner or Podiatrist, either MD or NP, with specialized expertise in wound care, to join our team. As a Wound Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive podiatric care, with a focus on assessing, diagnosing, and treating lower extremity wounds in patients at various locations, including homes, long-term care facilities, and clinics. Your primary goal will be to improve patient outcomes by delivering evidence-based wound care interventions and promoting preventive foot care measures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct thorough assessments of patients with lower extremity wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers, and other related conditions.

    Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, incorporating wound care best practices, offloading techniques, and patient education.

    Wound Practitioner will perform wound debridement, dressing changes, and other advanced wound care procedures utilizing aseptic techniques and adhering to infection control protocols.

    Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and wound care specialists, to ensure coordinated care and optimal treatment outcomes.

    Provide education and counseling to patients and caregivers on wound management, foot hygiene, footwear selection, and strategies for preventing wound recurrence.

    Document all patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    Medical Doctor (MD) or Podiatrist or Wound Care Specialist or Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree from an accredited institution.

    Current state licensure and board certification as a Podiatrist (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in wound care.
