    This position supports CAID operational excellence in maintenance processes through efficiency and adherence to all safety and quality standards and supports our continuous improvement goals.

    Our staff includes in-house registered engineers, project managers, and design detailers in addition to our highly skilled craftsmen.

    Located in Tucson, AZ, CAID's facilities include 25 acres of fenced-in yard and over 230,000 square feet of office and production facilities.

    In addition to our Tucson facilities, we have CAID locations in Hermosillo, Mexico.


    Our ideal candidate has at least 2-3 years of welding experience, some schooling, a working knowledge of standard equipment and a solid foundation of best practices in general fabrication.

    Someone with experience in pipe fitting/fabrication, Submerged Arc, SS, Aluminum, and other exotic alloys, would be a great addition to our team given the complexity and variety in our projects.

    Welders/fitters will need to read weld symbols, and follow blueprints, make accurate fractional (and some decimal) measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating parts used in later assembly processes.

    You are responsible for the quality of your output and must be able to work collaboratively in a team based, family environment.

    Utilize common welding tools and procedures including MIG welding, TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing various alloys to create products
    Interpret drawings and plans to understand project scope and specifications
    Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws, hand shears, chipping knives, portable grinders, hand files, and scrapers
    Perform any other assigned duties including, but not limited to, the following: grinding, fit-up, drilling, shearing, and assisting others
    Periodically review welding to ensure that adequate weld size and penetration is maintained
    Discuss any problems with a lead person, project manager or quality control team
    Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions
    Maintain proper equipment; Must be able to maintain a minimum of 2/3G welding certification
    Fabricate and manufacture metal parts for future assembly
    Handling and moving objects- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials

    Manufacturing environment:
    May be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.

    Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training.
