    Description

    The Company: TCI is looking for a skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter Application Programmer in Louisville, KY. This is not a C2C opportunity but a contract-to-hire position.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Guidewire PolicyCenter Application Programmer role involves working with a team supporting various lines of business to analyze, program, and configure end-user applications and systems software.

    The main focus is on revising internal code developed on Guidewire on-premises applications or configuring off-the-shelf applications to Guidewire Cloud.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead the collaboration with business and IT members to analyze and develop application requirements and system specifications.
    • Code new programs, modify existing ones, test, and document programs based on set standards.
    • Contribute to the development or modification of design architectural artifacts.
    • Coordinate multiple small to medium projects.
    • Evaluate and suggest vendor application and development software.
    • Prepare project plans and time estimates.
    • Research, solve, and document incident reports.
    • Provide off-hour support for production systems.
    • Thoroughly test all programs according to standard guidelines.
    • Conduct production reviews.
    • Collaborate with IT management and Enterprise Architects to define IT strategy.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • Extensive experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite and Guidewire Cloud technologies.
    • 6+ years of Core Java & SQL development.
    • Strong grasp of Systems Analysis and Design.
    • Proficiency in Core Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL.
    • Advanced knowledge of JEE, Spring frameworks, JDBC, and Hibernate.

    DESIRED (Nice-to-have) QUALIFICATIONS

    • Familiarity with IBM WebSphere Application Server or similar environment.
    • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, Angular, or React.
    • Knowledge of Eclipse IDE.
    • Advanced understanding of web services (SOAP and REST).
    • Familiarity with XML and JSON.
