    Responsibilities

    As a Building Engineer at Hines, you will be responsible for maintaining the fundamental operation and upkeep of all building equipment and systems. Your key duties include:

    • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
    • Adjusting HVAC and related equipment to ensure optimal performance
    • Conducting general repairs and replacements of building components
    • Participating in water treatment chemical programs
    • Maintaining operation logs and files for record-keeping
    • Utilizing HVAC distribution and controls knowledge to resolve work orders
    • Providing timely and courteous responses to tenant requests
    • Fostering professional relationships with contractors and tenants
    • Ensuring compliance with emergency procedures and protocols
    • Adhering to all safety and environmental regulations
    • Engaging in required training activities and seminars

    Qualifications

    To qualify for this role, you should have:

    • A high school diploma or equivalent
    • Two or more years of experience in commercial HVAC or related fields
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficiency in computer skills for effective program administration
    • The ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
    • Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime when needed
