Job summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced City Clerk/Human Resource Generalist to join our City team. Qualified individual will have dual duties of both City Clerk and Human Resources. As City Clerk the individual is responsible for records management including agenda and minutes. Serves as the information officer to assist the Governing Body and the City in complying with KOMA and KORA. The position also includes all aspects of human resources - hiring new employee onboarding benefits payroll actions state federal compliance needs to understand support unique nature local government operations work closely with city administrator department directors city staff.· Serves as Secretary for the Governing Body attend bi monthly City Council meeting
· Maintains updates official records files reports for the City Valley Center
· Maintains employee personnel paperwork files assists recruitment employment new employees.
· Prepares processes employee time sheets leave requests bi weekly payroll ensures accurate payroll deductions correct properly remitted works closely benefit manager insurance options questions arise supervises Municipal Court Clerk Senior Coordinator completes performance evaluations responsibilities described above represent primary responsibilities job other responsibilities may assigned by city administrator sees fit incumbent expected fulfill assigned responsibilities.
