Description

As a key leadership role, the Project Manager applies professional principles, practices and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure timely delivery of project.

This role has ultimate responsibility for all assigned projects and manages phases of project development cycle, definition, planning, monitoring, and others aspects of a project while participating in defining the strategy for the product development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the company's vision.

Desired Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, ES or related field
Minimum 10-12 years of experience in a technology environment in a software development organization required
Must have at least 7-8 years of relevant experience working through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering software products
Experience with Scrum methodology and Agile practices
Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress along with other Metrics
Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition
Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint goal
Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
Ensure the team strives to make each increment of functionality potentially shippable
Interact with Product Owners & PMs to prioritize requirements
Update agile tracking systems to provide transparency on Product & Sprint Backlogs
Direct managerial responsibility for 20+ or more individuals
Should be involved in project management responsibilities like planning, budgeting, estimation, tracking, reporting, risk & issue management etc
Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents such as FRDs, TSDs and architecture documents
Experience using object oriented design and development methodologies preferred
Experience in web based application software development
Experience in UML and design patterns
Exposure to cloud platforms like Amazon, Azure Rackspace would be a great plus
Fundamental understanding of web-based systems programming and development
Relevant experience with web based and ecommerce applications
Understanding of relational databases
Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines
Recommend improvements and assist in implementing best practices
Support the development managers and project leads as necessary
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams
Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, management and others outside the organization
A record of successful delivery of software applications as an individual, team leader and/or development manager
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
Ability to effectively present information to team members and management, customers and prospects
Excellent team building, people and management skills
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
Must be self-starter, proactive and willing to learn and grow with the business
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must demonstrate a hands-on approach, attention to detail and results orientation
