    This is a unique opportunity for a developmental career broadening assignment to serve as the Program Manager for an OSD-sponsored special program led out of the AFRL's Aerospace Systems Directorate with duties located in the National Capital Region (NCR)

    Leads a diverse team of government employees, government support contractors, and other stakeholders in developing, integrating, and implementing technical solutions to diverse, highly complex problems, promoting teamwork, and solving broad organizational challenges to ensure customer demands are met.

    Experience with leading a technical team in analytical, computational, and test activities for both research & development and applied problems is desired.

    Position duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Responsible for the execution of all program activities
    • Develops and maintains relationship with diverse team of technical subject matter experts from both government and industry
    • Leads on-site contractor support team
    • Responsible for contracting, budgeting, and security while working with support functional support provided by OSD
    • Reports program accomplishments and status to stakeholders in both OSD & AFRL
    • Coordinates program security with Program Security Officer and OSD SAPCO

    Required Qualifications
    • United States Citizenship
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant S&E field
    • 12+ months of first-level supervisory experience
    • Eligibility for a SAR code 5 special sensitive TS/SCI clearance
    • 3+ years of recent (within last 10 years) experience with Research, Development, Test, & Evaluation programs
    • Must be a member of an Acquisition Corps with a Practitioner APDP certification
    Desired Qualifications
    • Experience with high speed/hypersonic technology S&T programs
    • Familiarity with the government and industrial hypersonic community
    • Advanced academic degree from an accredited college/university in the relevant S&E field
    • Supervisory experience in a Research, Development, Test, & Evaluation organization
    • Active SAR code 5 special sensitive TS/SCI clearance
    • Professional work experience in one or more areas of flight systems: propulsion, structures, aeronautics, ground & flight test, and air vehicle conceptual development
    • Practitioner APDP certification in Engineering & Technical Management (ETM), Test and Evaluation (TE), or Program Management (PM)
