    Automotive Sales & Aftersales

    to join our highly skilled and dynamic

    Strategic Sourcing Team .


    This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Warwick, Bicester or Guilford where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

    What's the opportunity

    As the Senior Buyer for Automotive Sales & Aftersales requirements, you will play a pivotal role in driving procurement strategies and initiatives specifically focused on global distribution of aftersales parts and finished

    vehicles, global retail and aftersales property and fit-out, in-market aftersales services, and customer facing financial services products.


    Reporting to the Indirect Purchasing Manager, you will lead sourcing initiatives, negotiate complex contracts, and mentor junior team members to drive operational excellence and achieve cost savings targets.


    What you will do:
    Category Strategy


    Development:
    Develop and implement category strategies for complex and high-value

    indirect spend categories, aligning procurement activities with

    organisational goals and objectives (OKR's)

    Market Analysis and Risk


    Assessment:
    Conduct market analysis, supplier segmentation, and risk assessments to

    inform category strategies and identify opportunities for value creation.

    Strategic Sourcing


    Initiatives:
    Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, RFx

    processes, and contract negotiations, to secure optimal terms and

    conditions for contracts and agreements.

    Cost Reduction and Value


    Enhancement:
    Drive cost reduction and value enhancement through innovative sourcing

    strategies, supplier collaboration, and demand management initiatives.

    Supplier Relationship


    Management:
    Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, acting as

    the primary point of contact and driving continuous improvement in

    supplier performance.

    Cross-Functional


    Collaboration:
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop joint improvement

    plans, resolve issues, and optimise supplier partnerships.

    Performance Measurement


    and Reporting:
    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the

    effectiveness of procurement activities and track performance against

    targets. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management,

    highlighting achievements, cost savings, and opportunities for

    improvement.


    Who you are:
    Experience in strategic,

    high value and complex purchasing roles, with a focus on indirect

    procurement within Automotive Sales & Aftersales strongly preferred.

    Category experience

    includes Global Distribution of aftersales parts and finished vehicles,

    global retail and aftersales property acquisition and fit out, in-market

    aftersales services, and market-specific financial services (desirable).

    Autonomy in leading

    category areas and driving positive collaboration with internal

    stakeholders.

    Strong negotiation

    skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.

    Excellent communication,

    analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    Proficiency in

    purchasing tools and technologies, such as eSourcing platforms and ERP

    systems.

    Knowledge of purchasing

    best practices, contract law, and regulatory requirements
