    The Position

    Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.

    Incumbents perform journey level duties and may serve as a lead worker to lower level IT staff as assigned. This is a supervisory level for the Computer Operations function.


    This position is within the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services but will be on a special assignment to the Governor's Finance Office with the Office of Project Management.

    The incumbent will be part of the CORE.NV ERP implementation project team for the duration of the project.

    Primary responsibilities for this position include assisting with data cleansing, validation, and migration between legacy systems and the CORE.NV ERP system.

    Additionally, this position will cross-train and provide support for human resources and fiscal teams on the CORE.


    NV Project, to include:
    Security, Configuration, Reporting, System Interfaces or Integrations, and Quality Assurance/Testing.

    Incumbent may serve as a member of Technical Governance team to help ensure that any changes to any aspect of the ERP solution result in a stable, functional, and fully compliant environment for all agencies and users.

    In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:


    Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and two years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security; OR two years of experience as an IT Professional I in Nevada State service; OR four years of relevant technical experience as an IT Technician IV or above in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

    Additional Position Criteria A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.
