    Description

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of all electrical systems aboard the cruise ship, such as generators, motors, switchboards, and control panels.
    • Troubleshoot and repair any electrical issues that may occur during the voyage.
    • Maintain accurate records of all electrical maintenance and repairs.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Electrical Engineer and other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems.
    • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to guarantee the security of the vessel and crew.
    • Assist in the training and development of junior electrical engineers.
    • Stay updated on industry advancements and top practices in electrical engineering.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a 2nd Electrical Engineer on a vessel.
    • Knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment.
    • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Capability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate well with other crew members.
    • Readiness to work extended hours and be available for emergencies.
    • Valid seafarer's medical certificate and STCW certifications.
