    You will be accountable for sales of Instrumentation, Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA), driving sales volumes and margins.

    In this role, you will be responsible for leading assigned area marketing and sales activities, products and services within the defined industry segment both direct and through channel partners.

    You will develop the Chemical market for ABB Instrumentation, working with global teams on Value messaging and use the voice of customer to align our go to market, building relationships with key external influencers/key customers.

    You will drive and enhance cross-division and cross-region business-led collaboration for the specific market.


    Your responsibilitiesStrategy:
    Creates, implements and reviews assigned area industry segment strategy.

    Drives top level growth by focusing on penetration, innovation and expansionTargets:
    Defines key application targets (example volume, prices, portfolio mix) and ensures these are achieved for the segmentsEnsures business plans are in place both as direct accounts and with channel partnersDrives the growth of the top line in target industry segmentMarket analysis: Activates operation intelligence, benchmarking and analysis in order to identify Industry segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategy, etcUnderstands relevant regulations and standards (example on cyber security) in the selected market segments to capture new business opportunitiesMarketing: Ensures ABB's value proposition for the target segment is developed and well communicated (internally and externally)

    Supports local Sales organizations to ensure they are positively perceived in the target segmentsActively participates to reinforce ABB's visibility by strengthening external market segment communication in coordination with the Marketing Communication team and by participating in dedicated customer events and segment trade fairsAccount management:

    Ensures that the major accounts in the segments are identified and prioritizedMaps market requirements and opportunities to actions for local sales teams, coordinates with Division and other relevant teams (such as Group/Strategic Account teams) to implement theseCustomer relationship: Builds and maintains strong relationships at senior levels with the key stakeholdersContracts and negotiations: Ensures the team is well prepared and has the necessary internal support to pursue and manage large project contractsLeads or participates in the negotiation of legal and commercial international frame agreementsReporting: Uses standard reporting tools to accurately identify future opportunities and measure progress by segmentPeople leadership and development: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directedCoaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR (Human Resource) policiesDrives and ensures know how sharing and cross Division and cross country collaborationYour backgroundAssociates degree required; Bachelor's degree is preferred 5 years of sales experience with Direct to End Customer or Service 8 years of industry related experience desired to include; sales, instrumentation, measurement analyticsA willingness to be on the road visiting customers regionally up to 50 percent Candidates must already have a work authorization to permit them to work for ABB in the USBenefits Retirement plan Life insurance Disability insurance Wellbeing program Healthcare plan More about usABB's Measurement & Analytics division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers.
