Position OverviewAs a Senior Safety and Health Specialist, you will serve as both a strategic leader and a hands-on safety partner within our manufacturing operations.
This role is designed for a safety professional who understands that compliance is the baseline — but culture is the goal.
You will work directly with operations, maintenance, leadership, and hourly team members to identify risks, strengthen systems, and reinforce behaviors that protect people and performance.
From regulatory compliance to incident investigations, from training design to hazard mitigation, you will help translate safety standards into practical, daily execution on the shop floor.
This is not a desk-only role. You will be visible in the plant, building credibility and trust while driving accountability and measurable improvement.The Senior Safety and Health Specialist plays a critical role in shaping a proactive safety culture where every employee understands their responsibility and feels empowered to act.
Core ResponsibilitiesIf selected for this role, you will spend the majority of your time engaged in the following:
Maintain current knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations, ensuring ongoing compliance with OSHA and other governing bodies
Develop, implement, and administer safety and health policies, programs, and procedures
Design and deliver safety training programs and supporting materials aligned with operational needs
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify, measure, and evaluate workplace risks
Lead or support the development of loss control systems to eliminate or mitigate hazards
Participate in and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
Partner closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership to reinforce safe behaviors and drive continuous improvement
Communicate effectively and consistently across all levels of the organization
Support additional safety and compliance initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Candidates interested in this role should possess the following:
3–5 years of experience as a safety professional in manufacturing or industrial environments
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or related field (Five years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and federal/state health and safety laws
Demonstrated experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training development
Ability to influence and build trust across hourly and leadership teams
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
