    Overall Objectives of Position
    The Guest Services Representative performs excellent customer service to all guests inquiring about visiting or staying at MBWR. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of this position. The Guest Services Representative is expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of applicable programs adhering to all rules, practices, and procedures of MBWR. The Guest Services Representative is expected to live the Purpose and Values of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and will go beyond the call of duty.

    Primary Responsibilities of the Guest Services Representative
    • Performs data entry, utilizing Microsoft office software to update and maintain appropriate data.
    • Answers phone and delivers messages to appropriate persons.
    • Works closely with the Assistant Manager-MBWR to maintain reservation software.
    • Assists staff with duties including copying, filing, and reports.
    • Collects money for entrance, rentals, and camp sites.
    • Assists with maintaining gate as needed.
    • Checks campers, tubers, and other visitors into park.
    • Answers telephone and speaks to public regarding park amenities.
    • Schedules reservations for camp sites, pavilions, etc.
    • Greets and directs visitors to various parts of the park promoting activities and amenities.
    • Maintains a log of traffic into the park.
    • Assists with maintenance and upkeep of restrooms and park.
    • Assists with transportation for tubing.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate person.
    Day-to-day Responsibilities
    • Same as above.
    Education/License/Certification and Experience Requirements
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Two (2) years of employment experience in a confidential office setting required.
    • Previous experience with reservations preferred.
    Skills Required
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in English, spelling, punctuation, and basic writing skills. Must successfully pass applicable knowledge, skills, and abilities exams.
    • Must have a working knowledge of computers with the ability to work in a Windows environment with various software programs such as Word, Excel, etc. Must successfully pass the required pre-employment computer skills exam.
    • Must be self-motivated and possess ability to work independently.
    • Must possess working knowledge of standard office equipment.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
    Additional Requirements
    • Must be willing to work odd and irregular hours, including weekends.
    • Must possess a valid state driver's license and an insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
    • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
    • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
    • Ability to adequately and successfully perform all duties and responsibilities of this position.
