- Lead 3 SRE resources to perform day to day and embed SRE operations.
- Provide architectural and technical guidance and mentorship to SRE teams, fostering skill development, and building a strong and capable SRE practices.
- Oversee teams who are responsible for the design, architect, and develop operational infrastructure of our platform. This includes how our microservices are provisioned, deployed and rolled out safely, how configurations and networking is managed per environment, and how all systems are monitored, supported, and scaled in production environment.
- Lead and prioritize multiple projects, create roadmaps, and drive implementation plans.
- Partner with other managerial leads involving cloud, networking, product and engineering stakeholders to proactively identify operational needs and deliver solutions.
- Supervise CI/CD operations to write, deliver and maintain services that can be used directly by development teams, including documentation and support materials.
- Establish and reinforce best software engineering practices - including: code quality, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
- Manage data center operations installing, maintaining network resources, ensuring data center security and monitoring systems that takes care of systems health.
- Lead incident management process, conducting post-mortems, and driving improvements to prevent future incidents.
- Review availability expectations, addressing performance issues, uncovering observability gaps, leading problem management, and driving capacity planning.
- Defines SLOs, SLAs, SLIs, leads on-call support schedules, troubleshooting, building support playbooks, implementing monitoring and alerting, logging standards, conducts performance testing. *Telecommuting permitted*
- 5 years of experience with operating systems:
- Linux(Red Hat, CentOS 7), Ubuntu, Windows 2008/2012 server
- 4 years of experience with datacenter server management tools;
- vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi
- 3 years of experience with programming languages:
- Java, Nodejs, Python, and Go
- 3 years of experience with Databases:
- MySQL, Aurora MySQL, Postgres, Dynamodb, and Mongodb
- 4 years of experience with Scripting Languages:
- Bash, Python and Perl
- 5 years of experience with version control management:
- Git and Bitbucket
- 3 years of experience with Web/Application servers:
- Apache, Tomcat, and Weblogic
- 4 years of experience with Cloud Technologies:
- AWS (EC2, ELB, ALB, ECR, ECS, RDS, S3 bucket, Elastic Search, Elasticache, Redis/Memcache, SQS, SNS and Route 53).
