    Description

    GENERAL FUNCTION:

    Directs organization's security programs to protect employees and the company against harm and maintain safe and secure working conditions. Formulates and enforces safety and security guidelines for staff, students, and visitors. Ensures that all Corporate Standard Operating Procedures related to Security and Safety are implemented and followed.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


    A Bachelor's Degree in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Police Science or a related field and three years experience in corrections, security, and law enforcement with functional or line supervision experience.


    OR


    Associates' Degree or equivalent in Corrections, Criminal Justice, Police Science or a related field and five years' experience in safety, security, and law enforcement with functional or line supervision experience.


    SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:


    Training or certification in one or more of the following is required: physical security professional; corrections security; juvenile justice; criminal justice; law enforcement; or military.

    Preferred experience - history of working with youth and/or young adults in an education setting.

    Licenses or


    Certificates:
    n A valid Regular Driver License is required.

    n Must be certified or able to obtain certification in CPR and first aid
