Position Summary
The Branch Manager is responsible for supervising, coaching, and motivating branch employees to deliver exceptional service, achieve sales goals, and ensure operational excellence. This role oversees all day-to-day branch operations while promoting 7 17 Credit Union's values, culture, and brand promise.
As a Branch Manager, you will foster a performance-driven, member-first environment that deepens relationships, enhances member experience, and strengthens community presence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Coaching
- Lead, coach, and develop branch staff to deliver outstanding service and meet sales goals.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, team huddles, and performance reviews.
- Provide motivation and tools to maintain a strong sales and service culture.
- Oversee onboarding and training of new employees to ensure readiness and success.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain control and accuracy in cash handling, audits, documentation, and security processes.
- Manage employee scheduling to ensure efficient coverage and excellent member service.
- Monitor and manage branch budgets, staffing hours, and operational expenses.
Sales & Relationship Building
- Promote Credit Union products and services that meet member financial needs.
- Build relationships with members, businesses, and community organizations to enhance local engagement.
- Support marketing and business development efforts within the branch's service area.
- May obtain consumer lending authority to serve member borrowing needs.
Employee Management & Accountability
- Track attendance, manage scheduling, and ensure adherence to personnel policies.
- Deliver timely feedback, counseling, and discipline in accordance with Credit Union standards and agreements.
- Use good judgment and fairness in decision-making while maintaining consistency with policy.
Compliance & Security
- Ensure the branch operates within established risk, audit, and security standards.
- Complete and oversee branch audits for cash, vaults, ATMs, recyclers, and controlled assets.
- Report suspicious activity and currency transactions as required.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a credit union or financial institution.
- Proven leadership experience managing staff and overseeing branch operations.

Additional Requirements
- Regular travel may be required for training or business purposes.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
