    Job Description:

    Software Engineer - Microservices and Cloud Technologies

    Are you a skilled software engineer looking for a challenging role in designing and developing microservices and integrating them with distributed systems? Join our team at Fidelity Investments, a company dedicated to strengthening the financial well-being of our clients.


    • The Purpose of Your Role:

    You will be a key player in creating and enhancing microservices to efficiently handle large amounts of data and communicate with other systems. Embrace a Fintech approach to contribute to building modern data platforms using service-oriented architecture principles.


    • The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
    • Extensive experience with a variety of modern programming languages and frameworks.
    • Proven track record in designing microservices and streaming systems capable of managing high transaction volumes with minimal latency.
    • Minimum of 10 years working with Java.
    • Familiarity with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
    • Demonstrated passion for technology and ability to adapt to evolving landscapes by keeping up with the latest trends.
    • Focus on cycle time and utilization of CI/CD practices for efficient deployment of changes.
    • Strong communication skills and technical expertise to engage in meaningful discussions.
    • Proficiency in databases, SQL, and secure coding practices.

    • The Skills You Bring:
    • Hands-on experience in Java and developing Rest-based microservices, particularly using Spring Boot.
    • Thorough understanding of RESTful APIs and best practices in API design.
    • Proficiency working with AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, and more.
    • Experience with container-based development using Docker.
    • Familiarity with Hibernate ORM, JDBC, and connection pooling.
    • Knowledge of Authorization and Authentication processes.
    • Experience implementing Microservices Architecture and building highly automated, scalable infrastructure.
    • Proficiency in DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.
    • Bonus points for experience in the Financial services and Brokerage domain.
