ER EMT Technician - Carilion New River Valley Medical Center - PT

Location: Christiansburg, VA, US, 24073

Employment Status: Part Time

Shift: Variable Hours

Facility: CNRVMC - Carilion New River Valley Medical Center

Job Summary:

An EMT-Basic cannot work in this role. Applicant must be certified as an EMT-Advance, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic.
The Emergency Room EMT-I/P assists with various direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision, including assistance with daily living activities and selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks.
Supports Carilion's service excellence and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical program in paramedic studies preferred.
Experience: One year of EMT-Advanced, EMT-I, or Paramedic experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Must be certified in the State of Virginia as an EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic. Various certifications such as AHA BLS - HCP and ACLS required.
