With that, we have an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Tax Accountant to join us The Sr. Tax Accountant will support the company's domestic tax function.

    This role is hybrid, partially based in the Stamford, CT office and partially remote.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist Tax Managers with the review of the state income tax compliance function and aspects of the quarterly provision.
  • Prepare the Company's consolidated state tax returns including:
  • oReview and analyze all state apportionment data from all business units' tax binders.

    oMaintain nexus study analysis book in order to maintain registrations and keep withdrawals up to date as well as filing positions.

    oPrepare "what if analysis" when applicable due to company mergers and or changes to state tax law.

    oReview separate company / P.L state returns.

    oResponsible for maintaining state tax payments.

  • Prepare portions of the Company's consolidated federal tax return including:
  • oCertain Schedule M-3 adjustments).

    oSeparate entity pro forma Forms 1120

    oSub-consolidated pro forma Forms 1120

    oSupporting schedules, disclosures, etc.

  • Utilize and maintain all state-related applications within the OneSource tax compliance software.
  • Prepare state quarterly estimated tax payments and extension.
  • Oversee annual report filings and Ohio CAT.
  • Assist with the computation of the quarterly and year-end tax federal and state provision computations.
  • Administer state/local tax audits and respond to state/local tax notices.
  • Assist with the administration of OneSource tax calendar.
  • Assist the tax management team with various projects as assigned.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years tax experience; some corporate tax preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with an advanced degree and/or CPA desirable.
  • Experience with Hyperion.
  • Experience handling federal and state tax audits desirable.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both oral and written.
