    Engineering Manager

    opportunity located in the Metro Detroit Area. We are seeking individuals with

    7+ years of experience in engineering and leadership within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive supplier.

    What You Will Be Doing
    Oversees Maintenance and Engineering functions at the facility
    Manufacturing Process Team to achieve capability and OEE goals.

    Planning and implementation of changes to machinery and equipment and overseeing the testing of new or modified equipment or facilities to ensure fulfillment of technical specifications.

    Develop the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all equipment within all USA facilities.
    Purchase and inventory of all equipment critical spares.
    Approve design changes, specifications and drawing releases.
    Advanced Product Quality Planning processes throughout the new product launch cycle.
    Product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and related specifications.

    What We Need From You
    To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
    Bachelor's degree
    7+ years' experience in engineering and in leadership within automotive (Tier 1 or Tier 2 candidates in automotive manufacturing)
    Product development and project management experience.
    In-depth knowledge of laser welding processes, design principles and materials selection.
    Technical skills and principles – APQP, CAD, blueprint reading, etc.
