    Summary


    The Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the management team, responsible for maximizing the return on financial assets by managing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems.

    This position ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.

    The CFO is responsible for cost and general accounting, accounts receivable/collection and payroll and risk management and collaborating with senior leaders to develop and implement strategy for the future of the company.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    include the following.


    Other duties may be assigned:


    Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurateand timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but notlimited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual review andannual budgets.

    Recommends to and collaborates with management regarding company wideeconomic strategies, objectives, and policies.

    Recommends modifications to existing corporate programs to keep up withtechnology and market conditions.

    Develops and manages compensation plans and practices, including bonusplans.

    Oversees and manages all AP and AR activity and practices, including check & ACH processing and billings.

    Secures/maintains insurance coverage and advises management aboutinsurance coverage updates and risk management practices.

    Provides management with timely review of organization's financial status andprogress in its various programs and activities. Ensures that financial plans arealigned with business objectives and operational capabilities.

    Advises management on tax code and operational impact and policies.


    Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of allsystems, processes, and data, and enhance the company's value.

    Arranges for, and oversees, the annual company financial review and annualtax preparation with a 3rd party accounting firm.

    Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.

    Manages relations with banks, other financial institutions and PEO.

    Collaborates with other managers to optimize financial performance, employee,customer and vendor satisfaction, operational efficiencies and maximizerevenue opportunities.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This job has full supervisory responsibility over the AR / AP Specialist.

    The CFO has partial supervisory responsibility over the HR Coordinator, service division AR/AP Coordinator, and two Construction Project Coordinators, each of whom perform accounting, billing, payroll, and collections functions.

    Education and/or Experience


    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Construction accounting experience is preferred

    CPA Certification strongly preferred

    Work Environment

    This position works in an active, open office environment that is designed to foster communication and collaboration. Noise level is moderate. Private conference space available.

    Compensation


    The expected annual salary for this position is between $120,000-$150,000/year base plus bonus opportunities of up to 60% of base salary based on company and individual performance, which is historically between 40-60% of base salary.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is an on-site position with hybrid flexibility as needed.
