Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high mix, quick turn, and ISO certified sheet metal and structural fabrication facility that uses a variety of equipment such as CNC Fiber Lasers, CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes, and tube lasers to support multiple assembly lines. As a rapid parts manufacturer, our company serves customers in energy, power generation, oil and gas, automotive, electric vehicle, and aerospace. We operate out of a state of the art 100,000 sqft facility in Conroe, Texas.

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Drafter with mastery-level knowledge in SolidWorks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for precision engineering, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

· Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed technical drawings and 3D models of custom components and assemblies using sheet metal and structural members tools in solidworks.

· Collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to ensure designs meet specifications and manufacturing requirements.

· Generate accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and assist in the development of production documentation.

· Review and revise drawings as necessary to address feedback and optimize designs for manufacturability.

· Stay current with industry trends and software updates to continuously improve drafting processes and techniques.

· Assist as a part of the estimating team as required to quote parts and assemblies to customers.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Preferred)

· Mastery-level proficiency in SolidWorks, with minimum two years of demonstrated experience in complex part and assembly modeling.

· Strong understanding of GD&T principles and experience applying them to technical drawings.

· Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-mix, low-volume fabrication environment.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and error-free drawings.

· Familiarity with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and experience in sheet metal design are a plus.

· Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
