Job Description Job Description Jada Systems has a need for a Cloud Solutions Architect who will be responsible for evaluating, identifying, and delivering the Cloud Infrastructure Architecture and operational processes.
The Architect will develop related standards and guidelines for the adoption, optimization, growth, management, and operation of scalable Microsoft Azure/Amazon Web Services infrastructure and Cloud business applications.
The Cloud Solutions Architect will participate in cross-functional teams that work to review architectural initiatives and improve application resilience.The Architect will collaborate with business owners, analysts, engineers, development teams, and infrastructure services to define, establish, and communicate application and data architecture standards, policies, and directions.
This position is remote.Job Responsibilities:
Function as subject matter expert on design and development of cloud-based applications infrastructureEstablish architectural standards that enable DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Translate organizational level business requirements and use cases into architectural capabilities verified to meet the requirementsDesign solution-independent architecture models that map business services to cloud application stacksContinuously manage, monitor, and update architecture models as business needs evolve and additional cloud services become availableParticipate in optimizing solution, component, and application infrastructure architectures to manage costs and identify cost control mechanismsAssist product owners, solution architects, and application architects in designing scalable, highly available, secure, cost-effective solutions that leverage cloud infrastructure servicesUtilize cost/benefit models with mapping architecture to business outcomes and KPIsMaintain technical vendor relationships and maintains up-to-date and extensive knowledge of cloud products and technologyParticipate in business case development and validation (for enterprise level business cloud projects)Curate cloud infrastructure reference architecture documentationOther related task identified by employerQualifications:8+ years of IT architect experience, with at least 3 years in AWS/Azure Cloud Architecture demonstrating hands-on deployment and operation of AWS/Azure based solutionsExperience designing, deploying, and maintaining business application on AWS/Azure stack, leveraging services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, MSK, SQS, Lambdas, AWS Step functions, Redshift, Tableau, AWS Glue, AWS Directory Service, RDS and Aurora and leveraging third party support structure and similar services on Azure.
Experience in building and maintaining complex path to production pipelines including fan-in-fan-out, Blue/Green and Canary deploys on well-known CICD platforms such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitlabCI, GoCD etcGood understanding of AWS Cost explorer and experience optimizing infrastructure cost on AWSExperience with compliance standards such as ISO-27000 family, CCM, PCI-DSS and experienced in leveraging industry standard security toolsHands-on experience in building, provisioning, deploying, testing and monitoring enterprise grade softwareIntegration of cloud services with on premise technologiesExperience in leveraging Observability tools such as Splunk/Datadog/New Relic or equivalentExperience in industry standard tools providing Edge services such as Cloudflare/Cloudfront/Akamai etc.
Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell)Configuration management using CloudFormationExperience with software development life cycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipeline, agile/iterative and agile/scrum methodologiesHands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience with an AWS/Azure Cloud focusExperience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies, VPNs, BGP)Experience driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigationWillingness to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant in a highly complex environmentAbility to mentor and lead training for internal platform and capability teams focused on Cloud Infrastructure and CICDEducation:
Bachelors degree in computer Science or engineering related field or equivalent work experience; Certified Solutions Architect Professional and Certified DevOps Engineer Professional highly desire
