    Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, a leader in offering treatment programs to those battling addiction, is seeking a dynamic individual to fill our opening for a Facility Maintenance Manager at our new Rockbridge Residential Treatment & Recovery Program in Buffalo, Mn.

    Job Summary

    Oversee the administrative and day to day of the facility maintenance team.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential functions include the following:

    Maintenance of Property:

    • Performs and delegates or contracts housekeeping, maintenance, repair, and painting of all property, including buildings (interior and exterior), lawns, sidewalks, driveways.
    • Advises senior management of need for major reconstruction projects and necessary building permits.
    • Conducts quarterly inspections of facilities and documents the inspection results on a check-off list.
    Supervision, Scheduling, and Training:
    • Responsible for the overall supervision and training of everyone assigned to work in the Maintenance Department, including Maintenance Technicians and clients.
    • Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
    • Plans work schedules and estimates labor hour requirements for completion of each job assignment.
    • Confers with Program Manager to coordinate activities of workers.
    • Supervises the pickup and delivery of donated items when required.
    • Responsible for inspecting work-in-process and completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
    • Responsible for ensuring that each client worker understands and follows safe working habits, such as wearing eye protection, ear plugs, and gloves whenever necessary.
    • Motivates workers to achieve work goals.
    Equipment, Tools & Supplies:
    • Ensures that the necessary tools, equipment and supplies are readily available.
    • Ensures the safekeeping of all tools and equipment.
    • Inspects all power tools and equipment for conformance with safety and operational standards.
    • Makes appropriate changes in working conditions, personnel assignments, and use of equipment to maximize efficiency.
    • Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance performed, including work requests, supplies purchased, building maintenance completed, and other records as needed.
    Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
    • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organization's vehicle insurance carrier.
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in a facility maintenance and management role.
    • Excellent knowledge of all facility systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)
    • Class A Boiler License.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience with job costing and inventory control.
    • Very well organized.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
    • Ability to remain on task and follow through projects to their completion.
    • Strong leadership skills (one on one and group situations).
