    Description


    Summary You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Information Technology Services division of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST.

    Responsibilities You will analyze attempts at gaining unauthorized access to information to report on computer virus threats.

    You will maintain information technology (IT) configuration of network servers, operating systems, and storage applications to support an organization's IT requirements.

    You will establish Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) for improving efficiency of information technology (IT) applications. You will write concept statements for managerial approval of hardware or software enhancements. You will perform a risk analysis of information technology (IT) systems to identify problems and recommend solutions. You will assess information systems performance to confirm desired results are achieved. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Developing and maintaining clear, concise, and compelling information security policies and Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, ensuring they are accessible and understandable to diverse audiences; 2) Utilizing communication skills to articulate information security concepts and policies, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational goals and standards; 3) Leading and facilitating cross-functional teams to ensure the effective governance of information security practices, including the oversight of continuous monitoring processes; 4) Implementing and updating information security plans, policies, and procedures, aligning with best practices and RMF requirements to enhance the organization's security posture
