Airoom, Chicagos premier residential design / build firm is looking for an experienced Estimator who wants to put away the hammer and move inside and assist our estimating team.

Experienced in remodeling and new residential construction is required.

*Duties

Ability to accurately estimate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors; ensuring all areas of an estimate and buyout are covered.

Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price against unitized pricing.

Professional and articulate communication with co-workers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

Prepares estimating documents, material release schedules, project schedules and other related documents.

*Requirements

Extensive knowledge and experience in doing material and labor take off for residential remodeling projects from construction documents for Foundations, Concrete, Carpenter Framing, Order Windows/Doors/Millwork, Siding Material Take Offs, Masonry, Roofing, Electrical/Plumbing/HVAC, Insulation, Drywall, Trim Carpentry, Tile Installation, Hardwood Flooring.

Ability to read architectural and structural drawings and plans.

Negotiating skills and ability to prioritize schedule based on workload and deadlines.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in estimating, design related and/or project management.

Strong computer skills and experience with computer based estimating systems (Excel, Sage, Buyout, Timberline).

$75, $120,000.00 per year
