    Join the most noble mission in healthcare by helping Veterans thrive The Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) is seeking to add a full-time BC/BE Dermatologist to our Dermatology Department. As a Dermatologist at the Phoenix VA, you will routinely provide outpatient care, both as a primary provider as well as in a consultative role. We have an Academic Affiliation with the University of Arizona Phoenix College of Medicine, so you will also be able to educate fellows, residents, and medical students. Being a physician at the VA allows you to utilize your skill set to help America s Veterans and not have to worry about insurance companies, RVUs, or other headaches that can come with practicing medicine.

    Work Schedule: M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Pay: Competitive salary (up to $400,000 annually) + annual performance bonus + regular salary increases.

    Paid-Time Off: days of annual paid-time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).

    Recruitment Incentives: Sign-On incentive may be authorized for highly qualified applicants.

    Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401k with up to 5% in contributions by VA.

    Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement).

    CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement.

    Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.

    Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.

    Employment Requirements:

    Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.

    Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory. Must maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license.

    U.S. Citizenship required: non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
