    This position can be filled as a Band 3 or Band 4 and will be located in Linthicum. MD. This role is a Hybrid role requiring 2 days in the NGC office.

    The Supply Chain Planning Specialist's responsibilities will encompass but are not limited to:
    • Providing support to the program team to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of the program.
    • Understanding the breadth of the supply chain management scope (including materials management, procurement, subcontracts, material finance, and supplier relationship management)
    • Planning and coordinating program requirements.
    • Monitoring and establishing material inventory.
    • Addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues
    • Evaluating suppliers and noting key performance indicators
    • Cost Account Manager responsibilities
    • Candidate must be able to make sound decisions on time, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by the regulated industry.
    • Defines and develops material strategy.
    • Be Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.
    • Participate in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management.
    • Analyze and aggregates supply / demand requirements.
    • Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.
    • Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
    • Assess rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements.
    • Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments. Participate in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed.
    • Create/release requisitions.
    • Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.
    Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 3:
    • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 6+ years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Master's degree and minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field (Will consider 10 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.)
    • Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work in a team environment while also being able to work independently with limited oversight
    • Demonstrate success in managing complex problems and driving solutions related to program execution
    • U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel
    Preferred Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 3:
    • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning
    • Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
    • Experience in SAP (MES) (or related)
    • Financial background in financial executions - Earned Value Management, Return To Greens, Forecasting and Variance Analysis
    Basic Qualifications for Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 4:
    • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10+ years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field OR Master's degree and minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain, contracts, business and/or related field (Will consider 14 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.)
    • Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work in a team environment while also being able to work independently with limited oversight
    • Demonstrate success in managing complex problems and driving solutions related to program execution
    • Advanced experience purchasing material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
    • U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite with expertise in MS Excel
    Preferred Qualifications for Senior Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist (SCPS) 4:
    • Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business or Operations, or Financial Planning
    • Experience in Federal and Defense contracting requirements including ITAR, DOS licenses, FAR and DFARS.
    • Experience in SAP (MES) (or related)
    • Experience with second sourcing, redesigns, and supplier qualifications
    • Experience with proposal work
    • Financial background in financial executions - Earned Value Management, Return To Greens, Forecasting and Variance Analysis
    Salary Range: $84,600 - $127,000
    Salary Range 2: $104,900 - $157,300

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
