Job Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate
Guler Malaria Laboratory, part of the University of Virginia, is looking for a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to explore the genetic and metabolic adaptations of malaria to anti-malarial drugs.
Responsibilities:
This position, supported by the NIH, involves conducting single cell genomics studies on Plasmodium malaria parasites. We are searching for a dedicated and innovative candidate to join our dynamic team.
Located at the Physical & Life Sciences Building in Charlottesville, Virginia, our lab offers excellent collaboration opportunities with the Medical Center just a short walk away. Our community is focused on training and nurturing the skills of aspiring researchers.
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or related fields and have expertise in molecular biology techniques, genomics, bioinformatics, and RNA-seq analysis. Familiarity with single-cell techniques and data analysis tools like Unix/Linux, Python, or R is advantageous. Proficiency in English is a must.
