    About the Role:

    Title: Data Engineer

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze existing data sources and determine migration requirements, particularly from SQL to Snowflake.
    • Develop and maintain source to target (S2T) mapping documents.
    • Design and implement data integration solutions, leveraging ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Spark, Informatica PowerCenter/BDM, and SSIS.
    • Utilize programming/scripting languages such as Python to create custom ETL/ELT solutions.
    • Implement and optimize data models, particularly on star-schema model, for efficient data warehousing.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
    • Ensure data security measures are implemented in analytical systems.
    • Create and maintain documentation for data processes and procedures.
    • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
    • 8+ years of experience in data integration, data warehousing, and data modeling.
    • 7+ years of experience with relational database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.
    • 5+ years of experience with ETL/ELT tools like Apache Spark, Informatica PowerCenter/BDM, or SSIS.
    • Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, MSSQL, TSQL, NoSQL) and programming/scripting languages, with Python being required.
    • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and developing on a Public Cloud Environment.
    • Familiarity with data visualization platforms like Tableau or Power BI.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently on multiple projects and prioritize workload effectively.
    • Experience with source control tools and Agile methodologies.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Management consulting experience is strongly preferred.
    • Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based (e.g., Redshift, Databricks, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, MongoDB).

    Location: Hybrid in Dallas (2-3 days onsite)

    Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $130,000-140,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
