    Shift :: Mon – Fri 1st Shift

    Packaging Engineer

    Background:

    • Global Business Solutions specializes in leveraging data analytics and insights for enterprise problem-solving.
    • Focuses on identifying gaps in cross-functional business processes and enhancing them with standardized work.
    • Acts as financial stewards responsible for spend and drives efficiencies for reinvestment in the company's bottom-line.

    Role:

    • The Packaging Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing packaging designs integral to the Automotive Aftermarket Product Development process.
    • Focus areas include material cost, densification, sustainability, throughput, and damage reduction.
    • Requires full-time on-site presence.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manages packaging development process from design creation to prototype development and performance testing.
    • Addresses packaging problems, offering timely and cost-effective solutions.
    • Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to determine packaging requirements.
    • Establishes standards for supplier evaluation, selects packaging vendors, and conducts periodic reviews.
    • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with global suppliers, engineering, product management, and sourcing.
    • Participates in product introduction teams to launch new products.

    Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree in Package Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience.
    • Strong analytical ability to solve complex problems.
    • Ability to make timely decisions based on data in a fast-paced environment.
    • Customer-centric focus with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in project management and strong communication skills.
    • High level of computer skills including MS Excel, Outlook, and Access.
    • Primarily a second or third shift position, with flexibility based on business needs.

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of CCA packaging operations processes and familiarity with the CCA warehouse network.
    • Proficiency in MS Access, Power BI, and experience with AutoCAD.
    • Ability to work independently with flexible hours to support all shift operations.
