    Clinical Nurse SICU

    Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and one of the nation's top hospitals. This 36-bed unit provides excellent care for critically ill patients, including those from surgery, emergency department, or in-patient divisions.

    Intensivists coordinate a multi-professional team to deliver care while primary surgical teams monitor patient progress. The ICU staff includes nurses, advanced practice nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dieticians and social workers.

    • Promotes patient-centered care and healing environment
    • Educates patients on managing illness/injury post-treatment home care needs & medication administration
    • Participates in activities that promote safety, quality & regulatory compliance
