DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform donor identification, registration and screening; to determine donor suitability according to cGMPs, SOPs, CFR, PPTA standards, customer specifications and Company policies.
• Must be able to draw and finger stick samples as required.
• Maintain smooth and efficient flow of donors through registration and screening.
• Must be competent in assessing pre-donation unsuitability signals, performing vital signs, HCT testing, donor deferral and donor reaction management.
• Coordinate with physician/physician substitutes for physicals, assessments, document review, SPE approval, NAT testing protocols, immunizations, etc.
• Perform calibration and cleaning of equipment as required by pre-determined schedules and in accordance with SOP's.
• Perform general clerical duties as required with attention to accuracy.
• Must be computer literate and able to use NextGen system for donor data entry.

Job Specifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Available to work flexible and/or extended shifts.
• Occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
• Demonstrated basic knowledge of computer equipment, and software.
• Demonstrated accuracy in completing documentation.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for up to four (4) hours at a time.
• Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Be able to bend, stoop or kneel.
• Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
