Dr.
Gokoffski's lab is seeking a post-doctoral scholar with PhD level background in biomedical engineering to support multiple translational projects on optic nerve regeneration.
The tasks and skills required of this person will require an advanced degree typical of a successful postdoctoral candidate. The ideal candidate should have significant experience with optic nerve regeneration research studies and attributable publications demonstrating their experience.Experience in transdifferentiating human embryonic stem cells, electrophysiology recordings from the superior colliculus or visual cortex, performing survival surgeries on rats using a stereotactic apparatus, using AAV viral vectors, or genomics analysis is preferred.

(Temporary, fixed-term; one year and renewable on the recommendation of the faculty mentor and at the discretion of the dean. May be renewed up to a maximum of five years.)

The annual base salary range for this postdoc position should be $70,000 - $70,000.
