The Role

Through significant collaboration and a focus on delivering high quality products and user experiences, will dissect problems, manage coordination across key stakeholders and delivery teams, establish and monitor success metrics and priorities, and organize solutions that solve problems with high return on investment (ROI).

This role will use a variety of sources to gather feedback, analyze data, and recommend product changes.
Essential Functions
  • Partners with roles throughout the company to identify opportunities for the improvement of the customer/user experience and key business outcomes.
  • Employs product management practices and tactics including customer research, interviews, data analysis, process observation and market research as needed to represent the voice of the customer and ensure an accurate view of the current state.
  • Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data to identify core issues, evaluate ROI and prioritize problems. Documents analysis and recommends actions consistent with delivering high ROI aligned to our strategic direction.
  • Drives alignment between key stakeholders and project teams around documented project boundaries, success metrics and tradeoffs between schedule, scope and budget that deliver high ROI aligned to our strategic direction.
  • Ensures the software development team has clear requirements, prioritization and ongoing feedback, including an understanding of the vision for the customer/user experience, the key business objectives and the scope/budget limitations.
  • Ensures stakeholders are informed of project progress and involved in the decision-making process related to changes around scope, budget or timeline. Works with stakeholders to ensure customers/users receive appropriate communication and/or training for new features and changes to existing systems.
  • Follow projects after implementation to ensure they achieve expected ROI or that we learn what assumptions, problems or systems need to be further addressed to achieve the desired outcomes.
Additional Functions
  • Training, evangelizing, documenting and updating the product process
  • Mentoring and support for stakeholders on process improvement and problem definition
  • Performs other duties as required
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age
* - 3 years of product development experience preferred
  • Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile/SCRUM software development environment
  • Solid aptitude for querying and analyzing large data sets, building impactful reporting and using those insights to make data-driven decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to interview and observe effectively to extract qualitative data and patterns.
  • Ability to collaborate across functional teams and influence others.
  • Ability to translate stakeholders ideas into specific problems and opportunities that can be analyzed and broken into smaller units of work.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous environment where you can be a self-directed, independent worker.
  • Passionate about product management, data-driven business, our small business customers and technology.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging by empowering all our employees to speak up, ask questions, and been seen.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Duties are primarily performed in an office environment and require sufficient personal mobility and physical capability to permit employee to function in this environment
  • Requires sitting at a desk for up to 8 hours and ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds
