Since 1960, Ormco, has been developing, manufacturing, and marketing a broad line of orthodontic appliances and related products for sale in the U.S.

and abroad. Ormco provides orthodontists with brackets, wires, adhesives, and ancillary supplies used through the course of treatment.

Ormco believes the direct contact of its sales force with orthodontists facilitates the identification and verification of market trends and new product opportunities.

Ormco works closely with orthodontists to improve existing products and develop new products primarily through its Champion programs in which selected orthodontists assist Ormco in designing, developing and ultimately educating users on new product and technique innovations.


The HR Business Partner will pro-actively pick up on the needs of managers, implement key HR processes, and come with solutions to challenges in the business.

In addition, the HR Business Partner may take a leading role in responsibilities including but not limited to employee relations, on-boarding and exit processes, training and development, compensation and benefits administration including leave of absences, HR department general and financial functions, and talent acquisition.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The HR Business Partner will lead and optimize relationships of associates, managers and the leadership team.
  • Responsible for counseling and advising management on a variety of topics related to talent including implementation of training, performance management, and organizational reviews.
  • The HR Business Partner will implement and support talent strategies and programs for his/her respective area with significant complexity, to enhance the effectiveness of managers and the effective acquisition, performance management, development and movement of talent.
  • The HR Business Partner collaborates with leaders to optimize business success through HR initiatives, such as the annual Engagement cycle.
  • Investigates, mediates, and resolves employee and labor relations issues . Manages employee complaints and ensures accurate and timely documentation of concerns or issues.
  • In partnership with corporate Talent Acquisition, leads external and internal recruiting for a variety of role types.
  • Administers employee changes (i.e., promotions, transfers, salary increases, terminations). Conducts new hire orientation as well as the exit process. Ensures efficiency and accuracy of HR processes and transactions.
  • Drives talent development efforts for targeted employee populations.
  • Advises and coaches management in appropriate resolution of employee performance issues.
  • Leads and facilitates interactive sessions for employees of the organization on a variety of topics - from policies and programs, to leadership development initiatives.
  • Trains and gives presentations to people managers on topics such as performance review and merit review cycles.
  • Supports with the administration of benefits and HR legal functions including open enrollement, leave of absences management, and the immigration process.
  • Administers HR departmental general and financial processes including budgets, vendor management, and accounts payable.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Partners on global HR initiatives as needed.
  • Travels to other locations as needed to perform HR Generalist functions described.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in HR, Business Management, or related fields.
5 years' experience working in Human Resources field.
2 years' experience partnering with outside sales/commercial teams specifically.
Proven, strong employee collaboration and partnership experience required.
Working knowledge of recruiting, data capturing, compensation, benefits, and training.
Analytical skills using Excel.
Strong effective communication skills oral/written

Preferred Requirements:
Lean or continuous improvement background.
Strong employment law knowledge.
Prior working experience in healthcare/device or manufacturing/distribution industry.
Bi-lingual in English & Spanish
