Description:

The role will report to the Director, Global Consumer Business (GCB) Execution Oversight in Credit Risk Strategy and Execution function.

The role will be responsible for performing oversight and challenge activities of QA and Control tools owned by Independent Consumer Risk and providing consultative support in driving a strong control environment to both first- and second-line consumer credit risk businesses & functions.

The responsibilities also include identifying opportunities to simplify risk oversight and partnering with 1st and 2nd line risk SMEs and delivery partners across GCB and Global Functions to deliver on retail risk transformation roadmap.

The role will require the individual to have experience of working in implementing large regulatory transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnering with GCB, Global Consumer Risk Management and Global functions to perform oversight and challenge activities across Independent QA and control tools: Perform end-to-end review and challenge of GCB business deliverables to confirm quality and adequacy of deliverables to demonstrate effective control monitoring across all QA frameworks.

Lead efforts to coordinate with GCB 1st Line Credit Risk Control functions to understand issues to effective control monitoring Perform review and challenge of business execution and assessment of GRC impacting consumer credit risk processes.

Lead discussions on addressing quality assurance gaps supported by oversight and challenge activities and management information reporting.

Look across Independent risk quality assurance framework to identify related and interdependent elements and provide recommendations, where needed, for simplification, to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency driven through the retail risk transformation program.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior management across GCB Business, Risk Management, Global Functions and Internal Audit Teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required Experience Consumer Risk Management with a strong background in 1st line business risk and controls monitoring and reporting acquired through industry and or consultative experience.

Consumer Credit Risk Industry and or Consulting Effective stakeholder management skills Ability to quickly comprehend the true consumer related risks of complex global issues impacting GCB, escalate to the appropriate level and provide advice on pragmatic solutions.

Being a forward and strategic thinker; with strong attention to details; superior planning, problem solving and analytical skills Excellent judgment and independent decision-making ability.

10 years of experience in consumer credit risk management and/ or process re-engineering and large scale transformation programs. Prior consulting experience a plus Effectiveness in working within a large scale and complex organization is essential.
