Find your future with us. Boeing Global Services BGS is seeking a P8 Vehicle Simulation Senior Software Architect Engineer in Hazelwood, MO. You are an experienced Software Architect with a background in developing real time software in an agile environment. Avionics simulations and/or training device experience is a plus. You have experience in requirements analysis and development. You have lead technical software design and been a mentor to other engineers. You are a subject matter expert in one or more areas of avionics and/or training systems. You have the ability to work as part of a large team with many different products and deliverables.

Position Responsibilities:
Drive the P-8 vehicle simulation trainer software architecture in an agile software development environment. Develop both object-oriented software designs and non-object-oriented designs as appropriate to the feature being developed. Create software designs and documentation of those designs, including UML diagrams.

Work together with Systems Engineering, Test, and Integration teams to translate high level system and software requirements into low level software requirements that can be implemented by other engineers.

Clearly communicate technical information to other engineers and to management. Understand and work within the boundaries of budget and schedule demands. Participate in software design and implementation peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to drive high quality deliverable software. Mentor new employees in software engineering best practices and in Training Systems processes. Serve as lead engineer on projects as assigned and manage related project activity with minimal or no guidance. Contribute to team shared process and "how to" documentation on the team wiki or other venue. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
