TM In this role you will:
Under general direction, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible under direction of a physician for providing general clinical care including assessments, medication management and medication administration.The incumbent will work autonomously, collaborating with physicians, peers and others in the health care community. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.
What qualifications do you need:
Master's degree from an accredited advanced Nurse Practitioner program. NYS RN and NP licensure.
Valid DEA registration and authorization to prescribe Buprenorphine (Federal DATA 2000 Waiver) OR must obtain within 6 months of hire.BLS certification. eMedNY Provider.
At least one-two years' experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner preferably in addiction medicine or substance use and/or mental health treatment programs.Knowledgeable about federal and state regulations governing medical/clinical treatment in substance use treatment programs. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to patients with a variety of psycho social issues. Ability to work with a medical and clinical interdisciplinary staff to ensure appropriate management of clients. Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR.
